Blank Book

I picked up a blank journal from the bargain section of Barnes & Noble and dressed it up a bit. Now to find the time to write in it...

A Page with No Pictures

I knew I wanted to scrapbook the 4th of July this year (Ben's first fireworks viewing), but I didn't take any pictures. It was a challenge to develop a page without pictures. The picture sizes usually lead me in a certain direction, but everything was up in the air (ha) here - the title, journaling, embellishing could all be any size. I had a hard time figuring this page out. I'm satisfied with the results, but I think I went a little too crazy with the fireworks.

Animal Cookies Layout

I let the circles of the Animal Cookies B&T Duos paper be my inspiration for this layout. Everything worked so well together - the Mini Monograms font was a perfect fit! Down in the lower right corner I attached a white metal Mini-Medley tag. It turns out the circles on the polka dot Animal Cookies paper were the EXACT size of the interior of the tag! I cut one out and glued it on. So easy!

Customer Receipt Box Instructions Link

I'm trying to post the instructions for this box so that anyone who wants them can get them. I'm new to GoogleDocs, and I don't know if this will do it, but here goes!

The link is: Customer Receipt Box Instructions

The pictures in the file aren't great quality, but the instructions and templates should be useable.

A Little Experiment

I know this will probably sound lame, but for the short time I've been using CTMH products, I've pretty much stayed in the recommended color palettes for the paper packs. With this layout (using Back Country) I mixed it up and used Creme Brulee Foundry Tabs and Ribbon Rounds. I like the result - I think the neutrals have a nice balance with the patterned papers. If you check out the detail, I stamped my own pattern on the Olive cardstock. I'm having fun trying out new things as I jump into the wide world of stamping!

Another Customer Receipt Box

I made up another box while preparing instructions for making it. Thanks to everyone requesting more info and for all the kind comments! It uses one piece of 12 x 12 cardstock and then some additional paper to embellish. If you're creative with your scraps, it's a good project to use them up. Please make sure I have your email address if you'd like instructions!

One and One Makes Two

I went back to the page I did yesterday and added some stamping using the Treetops stamp set. It needed it. Today I finished the coordinating page. If you click on the picture you can see the stamping up close!

Still in the Zone...

I'm scrapping pictures from May and it's August...OF THE SAME YEAR! I'm so close to being caught up that I just want to keep going and for the first time have nothing left to do! How weird would that be?

Super Scrapbook Session!

Special thanks to my sister for scrapping with me! I was able to complete four two-page layouts which is incredible. I'm very happy with the results, too!

More Storage!

I broke down and bought another cube for my craft room. I think I'm addicted to them.

Customer Receipt Box

I was packing up my sister's order and fretting a little bit about throwing her receipt and Connections Club card in the bag where they'd get lost among all her other things. I was originally going to make an envelope to hold them, but boxes are more fun. I created this box and added a few extras to it. It's half an inch deep, so there's plenty of room to hold receipts and a wish list. On the front I added a pocket for the Connections Club card and a business card. Now everything is nicely organized!

Crafty Box, Continued

I bought my calculator for my box (see below) but it required me to modify the box a little. I made a new pocket to hold the calculator, added a new pocket to hold stickers, and also created a file folder to store in the back to hold smaller stickers. I was going to post a picture of the updated box, but I got busy making bulletin board stuff and now I'm too tired. Use your imagination!

Start of 2009

These are the first pages I've completed for my 2009 scrapbook. I'm actually scrapping the current year! These are also the first pages that I've done with stamping on them. I'm loving the Comments stamp set from CTMH. I used it to do the journaling on the first page. Very handy!

Being Crafty!

I found the instructions for this box online at Jackie Topa's website. It's a stationary box, designed to hold cards, stamps, pens, and a mini-address book. The first one I made following the directions pretty closely...

And then I made another (because they're so nifty!) and I thought it would be good for keeping grading supplies in. My stickers are always a mess in my desk, so I designed this one to hold stickers, post-it notes, red pens, and clips. I also want to get a cheap, thin calculator to attach above the red pens. Then I'd be all set!

All papers, stamps, and embellishments are from Close to My Heart.

My Card Box

I turned the Memory Keeper Box from CTMH into a Card Box. I used Stardust paper to cover the inside, outside, and to make the Card Organizer Book inside.
