H2H - Photo Challenge

This week at Heart 2 Heart we're having a photo challenge!  I've gotten very far behind in my scrapbooking, so I used this as an excuse to work on my daughter's album.

I apologize for my laziness in taking pictures.  The layout on the left has a flip flap and I didn't feel like trying to get the layout back out of the sheet protector to photograph it.

These pictures are from my daughter's first birthday party.  I made the invitations and kept one to put in her album.  I cut the card on the fold and put the front in the flip flap, and then put the inside of the card directly on the layout.  This way you can open up the invitation and it's totally protected!  (Also, I got to sneak in another picture of her.)

I kept the layout fairly simple, because I love the patterns and colors of the Lucy papers.  I used the Art Philosophy cartridge for the swirls and the journal box, and added some ribbon to both pages, and that was it.

It's not too fancy, but sometimes you just have to keep moving!  Thanks for visiting!

Baby Girl Layout

Here's a baby layout using the Sweetheart Paper Pack.  The layout is loosely based on the "Now You See It Layout" from the book Magic.  The letters and the curly border are from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge.  Then I added the Dimensional Elements after sponging them with matching ink in Cotton Candy, Baby Pink, and Pear.  Some white ribbon and Bitty Sparkles finish the job!

Baby Album - Interactive Scrapbook

This is a scrapbook album I made of my daughter.  I 'finished' it awhile ago, but I still have to go back and add some journaling.

I went crazy with pictures on this one so you could see all the interactive elements in it.  I used techniques from CTMH's Magic book and I love how it turned out.  There were lots of oohs and aahs when I shared this album with friends and family, and not just because of the cute baby!  If you haven't tried interactive scrapbooking yet, put it on your to-do list!

Pull tab reveals stamping and mini-photos.
Photo pocket for journaling tag & memorabilia pocket embossed with my Creatopia.
Photo pops up to reveal journaling.

4-panel mini-album tied with a bow.
Film strip pulls out to reveal more photos.

Ribbon-hinged door with chipboard closure.

Pocket for DVD.

Most embellishments are CTMH, with the exception of a few Martha Stewart punches.  The paper and cardstock is from the Topstitch Paper Pack.  The cover is a Bind-It-All Cover-All that I sponged with ink.
