It's been awhile since I posted and even longer since I've participated in any card challenges...but I'm back! I got busy with summer happenings, though I have been scrapbooking and card-making. Just haven't had the time to sit in front of my computer and share.
This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is to share a completed project and your inspiration for it. I needed to make a birthday card for my brother (hi Jeff!) and my inspiration came to me during my shower...from my bathroom tile! I've always liked the border, and I thought it would be a nice basis for a masculine-type card.
This border became this card...
The paper is from Passages. I used the You & Me Stamp Set for the ticket and the stitching. I used a different set for Celebrate, and then discovered that I could have used the You & Me Stamp Set for that too. Oh well. All the edges of the "tile" pieces have been inked in Cocoa ink.
Joelle, this is so cool!! I like how you did the tiles. :-) Thank you for playing along at H2H this week!!

ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh! Your card is amazing. In the shower? Too much. I'm going to go check out my shower and see what's going on in there. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us at H2H
ReplyDeleteI do not do many cards, but I can see this as a really wonderful masculine Scrapbook back ground. I think I will look around at my back splash and see if there is any inspiration there. Thanks for sharing. I really like paper tiling.
